My dad’s death is the most devastating thing I have ever experienced. He was a businessman doing well with whole world before him. He was an upcoming helping hand to the needy and the society. But his journey through life was cut short by hire killers on the 23rd of December 2011.  Rumors  said his business associates masterminded his death after several attacks in his house while some others said it was bokoharam agitators. After his death, his younger brother took over his business. During his burial,  his cousin whom he trained through school as a lawyer vowed to  deal with whoever has a hand in my father’s death in three months. Unfortunately, he never lived to see that come to pass as he too passed on.

Those who killed my dad still came after my uncle who took over his business, having killed the barrister; they burnt down our shop and threatened to kill my uncle. He had no option than to run away.  My mother has to struggle all alone to take care of my three siblings and me. After my diploma in Jos, had the opportunity to further my school because my mother could not foot the bills as a low-income civil servant. It is heart chattering
